Here are two different projects I have up. Both have the same font and font size as well as zoom being set to 100% why is one so large and one so tiny and how can I correct it?

This is a bug. Most likely you are using a non-default(non 100%) main editor zoom. The status bar zoom box is not correct upon startup in some cases. Rescale the editor and the statusbar zoom control will show the proper zoom value. This has been fixed and will be available in the next update. Thanks for reporting this!
