I’m just trying out Scrivener and am very disappointed that I can’t seem to import or export links. Hyperlinking to source material is critical for any form of electronic document and a key challenge in organizing the writing process. It is a waste of time to add links to Scrivener that can’t be accessed in the final document.
External links can work in the compiled document depending on the format you compile to–for instance, if you compile to RTF, DOC, or DOCX, weblinks in your project are all maintained. If you’re using Word to open the file, however, it may look like the links aren’t preserved, as they won’t initially appear formatted as links (blue and underlined). If that’s the case, you can follow the steps in this knowledge-base article to fix their appearance in Word.
I followed these steps - either it does not work or a step is missing. A search in my word document for “^d hyperlink” has 0 results.
