links and hard copies to files

When I insert media files (images, pdfs etc) into a scrivener
document, do I have the option to have
(a) a link to a file that is in my own disk area,
versus
(b) a hard copy of the file into scrivener’s own data for
the document?

Thanks,
Paul.

Hi,

No, the whole point of a Scrivener project is that it contains everything relating to the project and will take everything with it if you move it to a different computer. If you want just links, use the references pane in the inspector.

Hope that helps.

All the best,
Keith

Sounds fine. In fact it’s the mode of use that I want,
but I like to be aware of the options,
Thank you for your help,
Paul.
