Locating apple symbols using the character palette

I’ve been searching high-and-low for this information, but it’s really hard to find the right words to get google to reveal how I can enter the Command symbol, or the Alt key symbol… Can anyone guide me to the right spot? I can’t locate anything apple-specific in the Character Viewer palette.

Specifically, I’m hoping to find a symbol or small icon for the Expose icon found on newer apple keyboards. I’ve just ordered a new keyboard, which has volume and eject buttons printed on some of the keys, but most of the function keys are blank. I wanted to print out a template like from the ancient times of Word Perfect for DOS, only with familiar symbols instead of words.

I’m running the latest version of Snow Leopard, by the way.

In the Special Characters floating tool, they are located under Symbols:Technical Symbols, right at the top of the block. The Exposé icon, however, is not in the Unicode as far as I know. In fact most of those are probably not going to be characters, but you’ll find Esc, Eject, and possibly the media control glyphs as well—though they might be in Symbols:Arrows.
