Even ProWritingAid? Because a lot of writers use it I thought it would have some privacy setting. To be honest, I don’t know exactly what happen though when your text is send like that. Does that mean they can use it and write from it? (I am really sorry, I’m not the most knowledgeable on the AI :sweat_smile: )

I’ve used a few of them and honestly they all have their strengths.

If you’re writing 100k+ word novels, I’d lean toward ProWritingAid. It’s not perfect, but it’s way more useful for fiction than Grammarly in my experience. Grammarly is fine for catching basic grammar stuff, but it has a bad habit of “fixing” lines that were already fine, especially dialogue.

Also, don’t expect any of these tools to magically edit a book for you. They’ll catch typos, awkward wording, repeated words, and some grammar issues, but you’ll still have to make the final call on what actually sounds right.

If I had to pick one, I’d spend the money on ProWritingAid. If you don’t want to pay much, LanguageTool is worth checking out too.

Good luck with the editing. Getting through that stage is a grind, especially with a manuscript that big. :sweat_smile:

Yeah. I try writing small stories but always end adding more characters, side stories and stuff… Guess I love torturing myself.

I just need a good checker for both my grammar and formulation as English is not my native language and I keep writing it weirdly.

Also, after thinking about it, it seems I’ll need a new computer soon… And I might buy a MAC (as I am on a PC at the moment). I know it doesn’t change the need for the checker but I also read some of the tools are easier to integrate on a MAC. So it might makes the difference.
