Please pardon a basic question. Couldn’t find an answer in index.
I want my Scrivener project to finally end up on my desktop in .docx. I use compile to get it to .rtf fine. But when I use “save as” in TextEdit to save it as either .doc or .docx, then the paragraph indents disappear. I’ve tried various ways of compiling with the same result.

Any word processor that can open a DOCX file can open RTF. Avoid Text Edit, because it has a lot of flaws (I bet it’s the same reason that the docx out of Scrivener has been so bad). If you download the latest Java for Lion ( no need to download for Leopard or Snow Leopard) at support.apple.com/kb/DL1515, Scrivener 2 will do a very good job of compiling straight to docx.
