Lost preferences with upgrade

Hi.
When I first purchased Scrivener I loved it but was infuriated when trying to discover how to stop it leaving a gap everytime I hit [return]. It made addresses look terrible…

My Ben

Oxford Street

London

Rather than…

My Ben
Oxford Street
London

Eventually, somehow I managed to change it, I saved my prefs and typed away happily. However, having just upgraded to Scrivener 2 I lost all my old preferences and it has reverted to leaving that infuriating gap everytime I hit return (If I want a gap I’d rather just hit return twice). Anyway, no sweat… just import the old prefs, but no joy, I imported them but it remains the same. :open_mouth:

Please could anyone inform me how to get Scrivener 2, to only return one line only when I hit [return]. The way I work it is making the program unusable.

God bless.

Preferences:Formatting. That whole section at the top is for controlling how new documents will be initialised. Using the line spacing drop-down to set advanced spacing features (or lack thereof).

Thanks AmberV.
I think I’ve got it…I just turned the line-height to 1, I don’t know why that changes things when I press return but it works. In css that only changes the line-height between lines but as long as it works.
