Mac to Windows Scrivener

So my Mac died and I am working on a Windows machine now. I installed Dropbox and the Windows version of Scrivener with the trial version. I then attempted to open one of my Scrivener docs and it doesn’t seem to open. Scrivener seems to see it as a folder and opens it but does not open the file. Help!

If you haven’t already, enable File Name Extensions in Windows Explorer. See the checkbox to the right, under the View menu.

Open the project folder containing your project, using Windows Explorer.

If your project were called MyProject, then the project folder would be called MyProject.scriv.

The contents of your project folder should look something like this:

Double-click on the .scrivx file.

That should open your project in Scrivener.

Does it?

Best,
Jim
