Make spell check as you type sticky?

It seems you have to turn this on every time, manually. Is there a way to have osx’s spell check running each time I load Scrivener? I am not remembering to turn it on very often and only when I see an obvious misspelling do I slap my forehead.

Is there maybe a way to turn it on system-wide? It seems to be on for most other apps by default, even Safari …

Make sure you turn spelling on or off using the Edit > Spelling and Grammar menu. It’s a quirk of 1.x that if you use the contextual Ctrl-click menu, it won’t stick (something fixed in 2.0).
