Anything that can do a global replace – including Scrivener – will work. Replace the paragraph-ending pilcrow with a pilcrow plus ‘##’ or something like that. Then Import and Split and specify ‘##’ as the delimiter.

Ah, right. Because you don’t necessarily want to split between every paragraph.

If you’ve already put delimiters in the text, you can split based on those instead. Alternatively, you can split at every paragraph, and then use the Merge command in Scrivener to glue sections back together as needed.

Honestly, how long is this document? I understand the desire for an automated solution, but in the time you’ve spent trying to automate this you probably could have just gone through with a series of Opt-Cmd-K commands (Document -> Split -> At Selection) . You’re trying to automate something that fundamentally requires human intelligence.
