Maximum number of "status" records?

Hello all, I am loving 2.0 goodness, but I have a simple question:

Is there a maximum number of “status” records you can have in a project’s metadata? (or maximum “labels” or other metadata records?)

I’d like to use the Status field for something other than status, where I probably need a couple hundred “Statuses”

I am not aware of any (realistically human achievable) limitations here. Status/labels are set up in the project file XML, and each are assigned a unique ID in ascending order.
