Migrating "open recent" list?

Hi,

I just migrated from my old PC to a new one. How to to copy or import the “open recent” list between computers? The directory structure is identical, BTW.

Thank you and best regards,

I’m not sure if this can be done at all in a supported way, but if you’re willing to tweak the Registry, look for the following key on your old computer:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Scrivener\Scrivener]

You’ll find a variable named Recent, which is an array of filenames.

You can export that branch on the old computer and then import it on the new one. (If you don’t know how to do this, I’d definitely advise against this approach.)

Alternatively, just open your most wanted files files in sequence on the new PC. It is safer and they’ll fill in as time goes by.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for confirming my assumptions.

I don’t know if an export/import feature would be useful in other situations. At least right now I wish it would be available

Thanks and best regards
