Minor display bug when using multiple monitors

The problem appears when my laptop is unplugged from its dock and goes from multiple monitor mode (2 + native laptop screen, Scrivener maximized on one of the additional monitors) to single mode. When plugged back in again (so all 3 monitors are now live again) Scrivener’s display is on the correct monitor but all mixed up with left-hand panel missing completely. There’s an easy work-around: Unmaximize Scrivener, drag to another monitor and then back again, remaximize - all is well.

So it’s not a big deal - but 'tis still a bug.

Interestingly, I have encountered a different display bug, also with multiple monitors. When I unplug my MBPro from the external monitors, then plug it back in, Scrivener ends up being resized to be huge - like a multiple of the width of my monitor. (Thinking about it, it might be the same size as the widths of all my monitors combined.) Anyway, it’s unique to Scrivener as none of my other apps have the issue, and my guess is that Scrivener does something different to other apps. Another little display wrinkle: Magnet, a window resizer app, can’t resize Scrivener correctly. All minor but still daily annoyances.

I have a similar problem with resizing that just started in the last month or so. I use a laptop plus a large vertical monitor. When I start Scrivener, it opens on the laptop screen, and then I drag it to the monitor, and it resizes fine.

When I wake my laptop up from sleep, though, Scrivener is back on my laptop (this is normal, I think), but it will not resize properly when I drag it back to the monitor. All the text is enormous (my monitor is lower-resolution than my laptop screen).

A separate resizing problem that I’ve noticed around the same time is that anytime I open up the Find box (Ctrl + F), the box is huge and spread across both laptop and monitor. I have drag it from all sides to get it down to a normal size. The same thing happens with the Scratchpad.

The only way to fix the Scrivener resizing problem is to restart Scrivener. (I’ve tried dragging it back and forth between screens a few times, but it doesn’t work.) But then once I’ve restarted Scrivener, next time I use Find and Scratchpad, they pop up giant again!
