Missing Pages

Hi,

When compiling my work the load bar is failing to reach 100% causing pages to be cut off from the final PDF. I’ve seen people reporting this in the forums as recently as 2022 but noting that nothing has been done yet. Are there any solutions for this problem, please?

I’m using Windows.

Thank you.

Nope. Not a general bug on S3 for Windows.

I ran a test, compiling a 413-page manuscript to PDF without errors or omissions.

Compile to DOCX and save as PDF from there.

What was the problem and fix?

I suggested compiling to RTF since that’s Scrivener’s native file format.

Reviewing the RTF file in LibreOffice or Word will allow a user to check if the missing material is due to a compile setting or a PDF conversion issue.

That is, if the text is still missing in RTF, then I would look more closely at the compile settings.

If the RTF has the missing material, it could be a flaw in the PDF conversion tools.

If the RTF’s text is good, then the output can be converted to PDF. That’s similar to AntoniDol’s suggestion above.

It was my first Compile. Live and learn, I guess :man_shrugging:

Thanks again, Ruth.
