Missing save/load buttons in Compile window

Hi,
I’ve got the trial version for OS X, so I’m new to Scrivener. Also, just to compound matters, I’m new to Mac as well (PC blew up last week). However, I think I’m getting to grips with it OK. But I do have a problem. After spending a while getting my Compile options to be just right to produce output suitable for a friend to read, I can’t see any Save button to save this set of Compile options (see screenshot). For a moment, I thought it was a feature missing in the trial version, but I’ve just moved from Windows to OS X and the Scrivener trial version for Windows had Save and Load buttons.

Have I done something wrong, or is it a trial version issue?

Many thanks for advice.

Hi,

It works a little differently in the Mac version (the Windows version will eventually work the same). Instead of the buttons, this feature can be found in the “Format As” menu - select “Manage Compile Format Presets…” from the bottom of that menu. There, you can create new formats from your current settings, update existing ones, delete them, and select which ones should appear in the menu.

Hope that helps.

All the best,
Keith
