(MORE) AND (CON'T) at page bottom/top

Hi,

In Final Draft, there is an option to choose what kinds of (MORE) & (CONT’D) you wish to include in the formatting of your scripts. I have been advised, that it’s not something you need when it’s simply dialogue broken up by action, but it is something you should use when dialogue is broken by the end of a page and start of a new one.

However, I cannot see any option to do this. Have I missed something?

(I did notice someone else had a topic on the forum here, asking about this - but I don’t believe it was relating specifically to my intended use…)

Can anyone help with this? Can it be set in Scrivener?

This is not something Scrivener is capable of doing. It requires a very detailed and precise understanding of pagination as well as what kind of text is being paginated, to format a page that way.

Scrivener is more for the early writing phases, where sheets of paper matter more in the sense of getting an estimated count of their total, rather than a more Final Draft / Word type approach where text is processed in a page model that perfectly matches what comes out of the printer.

Ah ok. Thank you.
