Hi. I have a suggestion. In the inspector, where the Meta-Documents section is (forgive me if I am not using the correct terms) it would be great to have another spot or two under “label” and “status.” Personally, I would title one of these “timeline” so I could note a calendar date or the passage of time. Then it would show in the outline.
Just a thought.

No worries, this is already on the list of things to improve (probably for 2.0). 
In fact it will be a bit more comprehensive than you are envisioning. There will be a whole new Inspector pane and you’ll able to add as many custom fields as you like to the project’s settings. In the inspector pane each field will be represented with a box below it—so it will even be possible to use this feature for longer form notes. You could for instance have a “Setting” field with a paragraph describing the setting of the scene. These fields will be linked to the Outliner column menu so that they can be added as custom columns in the spreadsheet view.
