More integrated Fountain Support

I’ve found that writing in Highland with Fountain to be a much more pleasant experience than Final Draft. Very minimalist. Combining that with the organizational power of Scrivener would be the best.

I know it’s already sort of integrated, but it’d be much more usable to know how many pages I’ve written (in the screenplay format).

That would imply some form of Fountain writing mode, which doesn’t exist (nor would there be much need for it since the point of such a method of writing is to not need fancy software features to make it work). So one would need a separate scriptwriting document mode, not like the other scriptwriting modes, that merely tags a file as internally having been composed in Fountain, so that Scrivener can know that it should do an invisible background conversion to formatted RTF (using the actual script mode settings in the project) for the purposes of getting all of the height metrics accurate enough for a page count estimate. Or am I not understand the request correctly?

Or to put it another way, adding all of this infrastructure would be strange for a writing mode that isn’t even “supported” (again, outside of the fact that Fountain is “supported” everywhere you can use a keyboard to put text into a file) inside the software. Scrivener’s Fountain support is purely input/output, once you’re in the software, it looks like an actual screenplay.
