Five more screenshots…

Briar, et al: You did it in 2011, so you should do it some more.
Conclusion: If you make a decision that you later learn was a mistake, you are obligated to continue doing the same thing.
Robert, that is not my position at all. I think Keith is right in many of his recent posts. I was just pointing out why some people might feel L&L had not been consistent.
Keith, no comment.
you must have a very odd idea of hype if you think hype consists of one announcement blog post and two update blog posts in two years!
Seems to have been enough, in any case.
If that is “going on about the iOS version for months/years”, then shoot me.
Can just go on record and say I’d really rather prefer it if no-one shot Keith. His company does appear to have become rather central to my procrastination efforts (and thus my sanity).
Well, to be fair, in this post here http://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/?p=359 Keith does imply that the Iscriv version is pretty far on its way … and that was back in April 2013. And then another post mentioning the first half of 2014. At least back then there were some screenshots and now there’s not even that. It is a little sad imho, that the developer of the iOS version doesn’t really communicate what happens. I read on her blog, that she is working in her (not so plentiful) free time on this project. So, after subtracting family, main work, etc, and not to forget some sleep from a day, how much time can she really devote to IScriv? I think that explains the slow process.
Oh well, nothing we can do about it. It’s how the priorities were set.
While it is true that Tammy came on board at first working in all her spare time while also working on another project, this hasn’t been the case for a while, as I’ve mentioned elsewhere. When our other iOS developer stepped down from the project, we had to find someone fast, someone experienced and who had a solid understanding of, and love for, Scrivener, who would stick with the project long beyond version 1.0. Tammy fit the bill, and what she’s produced has more than borne out our decision. She has been working full-time - if not every waking hour - on Scrivener for several months now, though. Moreover, Tammy is not responsible for communicating anything. It’s to everyone’s benefit that she spend all her working hours on the iOS version rather than blogging about it. (Most of my time is also taken up by development.) To say that we have never prioritised the iOS version is utter nonsense. Just because something has taken a lot longer than anyone would have liked says nothing of the internal priority it has been given in our small company.
I’m now closing this thread as it has turned into nothing more than unconstructive moaning. This forum is for technical support and user requests. We understand users complaining about bugs in existing software, and users are more than welcome to ask us how the iOS version is going and to (politely) express impatience or eagerness, but threads spent answering bad-tempered gripes at us over something we are working bloody hard on and cannot do any faster is not a good use of anyone’s time (even if only the minority of posts here were grumpy - mine included!).
Let me reiterate lest I am accused of shutting anyone down: we are not being deliberately uncommunicative. We just have nothing to say on the matter at this time other than that it’s coming along well and we are working full-time on it. We are all incredibly busy making sure that Scrivener users have some amazing things to look forward to, not just on iOS but on Mac and Windows, too. And you can be sure that you will hear a lot about the iOS version when it is nearer to release.
So here’s me, Han Solo with a blaster pointed at a console in the Death Star.
