My color coded binder is a great way to see at a glance which scenes are “to-do” (orange), pseudo-code (red), first draft (yellow), or revised draft (green). It also shows to POVC.
The only problem is that the binder is only one column, so I can’t see all of my columns at once.
It could be nice to have a view-only multi-column display, like this:
FWIW, you can get as many as two columns using outline mode and the split-pane editor. You would have to adjust the outline mode to just show the bindery stuff you were interested in, of course. And outline mode has the virtue of not just being view only.
In fact, with a bit of cleverness, I think you could effectively get three columns in view: the Binder plus two editor panes of outline view. These can all be scrolled to different places in your scads of draft documents.
