Hi, I’m not sure if this question is appropriate here, or elsewhere, but I was wondering if there was a way to work with multiple projects in the same format without having to switch windows. Currently, if I want to switch from one project to another, a completely new window has to open, but I was hoping there was a way to open the new project in the same window. It’s kind of like if I want to open a new website on my internet browser, I can just open a new tab without having to open a new window entirely, if that makes sense.
Hi, and welcome to the forums. The short answer is no, Scrivener doesn’t use a tabbed interface; each project has to be opened in a separate window. The reason for this, as I understand it, is simply that a Scrivener project has so much potentially going on in it (with various sub-windows that can be opened) that a project-in-a-tab would in the end be less practical than in a separate window. There has been some other discussion of this here lately, but I can’t seem to track it down to get further nuance for you.
