My first book is on Amazon

It’s funny what the title of this forum brings up for me. I love to write and believe I have potential but I cringe a bit at the thought/fear that I’m really not very good.

My book is self-published and is in the personal development domain with a cross over into workplace culture. amzn.to/cV32Da

It’s my ambition to use fictional stories to make the points that I currently make using the rather boring self-help prose you find in that genre of writing. I think that will be awhile though, and all there is to do in the meantime is practice, practice, practice. That’s what I write about on my blog:

New to Scrivener but I’m loving it so far.

Congratulations, but five different posts on the same topic is a bit much.
You might spend that energy by setting up an author page at Amazon.
That will help to get your message out to the folks who really buy books!

Thanks, but I don’t recall posting five times. Do you mind letting me know what you’re referring to? Would hate to be occurring for anyone as spamming.

I think if you look at the forum topics list the 3 multiple posts should be quite straightforward to spot!

Edit: Screenshot removed, seems unnecessary now

You can delete two of the posts using the forum controls. Just hit the edit button for them, and check the delete post checkbox at the top of the editing screen. Maybe the forum has a few hiccups tonight - it did seem a little slower than usual for me posting this.

Not to worry, worse things happen at sea. Congratulations on getting your work out there

No worries, I cleaned it up.

Thanks very much. Not sure how that happened. Talk about creating a great first impression.

Oh we’ve all done it from time to time. If you click the submit button more than once you’ll accidentally send off a few copies. Congrats on getting your book out! Let us know how the experience is in terms of Amazon publishing. I think that whole aspect is a very interesting trend in the modern shift to viable self-publishing.

I have not!

I have not!

Panthony,
Welcome, aboard the leaky old pirate tub, Scrivener. Don`t feel bad about your little mishap.

Certain self-aggrandisers, among Scrivs crew, often bung in 3/4/5 copies of their post, and plead ignorance when its pointed out to them. VIc-k is more than capable of creating a three page thread of nothing but a single post of his.

Moderators arent usually that on the ball as AmberV was with you hick-up. I wouldnt put too much faith in any of them.
Take care
