Nested view styles.

Anybody know how to make the 2.0 Scrivener remember the editing style (i.e. corrkboard, outliner, etc.) that you want it to open in. When I open an index card stack in the top editor I always want it to open the nested cards in the alternate view in index card editing mode. Scrivener 1.0 did this but I can’t seem to make it work in 2.0.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Two things. First, Scrivener>Preferences>Navigation, check the box to treat all documents with subdocuments as folders.

Then, when you’re working, in the upper editor click the double arrow icon in the footer so it turns blue, which means that your clicks in the top editor will affect the bottom (so if you click a stack of index cards, it will open in the other editor). Once you’ve opened them once in corkboard mode in the bottom (rather than outliner) it should remember to always open them in corkboard unless you change it.

Is that what you were looking for?

That’s it! Thanks so much for your help.
