After using the 2.0 preview for a few days, please count me among those HUGELY GRATEFUL for all the new icons. I especially appreciate being able to change the icons of binder folders and icons. In fact, as one afflicted with red-green color blindness, I’d love to have a few additional icons: Book (Yellow); Book (light Gray-ish); or any other colors more easily distinguished. (Brown and red look almost identical. Aren’t you sad for me now?) I was thinking it would be perfect if the colors available for notes – blue, green, red, white, yellow – were also available for books.

You know you can add your own icons? You don’t have to use the ones provided. Altering the colours of the book icons provided shouldn’t be a problem, but I won’t have time to do minor things like that for a few weeks, so you could always do it yourself. Just drill into the Scrivener.app bundle (ctrl-click on Scrivener in the Finder and use “Show Package Contents”, find the icons (I think they are in the “Default Support Folder” inside the “Resources” folder inside the app. Then edit them to change the colour in Photoshop and make copies, and add them to the list using the Document > Change Icons > Manage Icons… sheet.
