New Lit&Lat writing app

You recognize the assumption in there don’t you? Or the multiple assumptions?

Oh, I am sure he HAS one, but he probably plugged it up right away and started braining without a second thought!

He posess a brain, but is it installed or in a box on the shelf? I’m only allowed to install mine when Mrs * reviews the situations and deems it necessary. Otherwise it’s all about brainless guessing.

Hi guys, what about the new writing app?
It had to be released by the end of the last year, no?
any news about the date?
thanks.

It has been out since June 2027

Well, sure it was released in June 2027, but you really want to get the updated version-- which came out as a downloadable premonition in Dec 2026.

Given that historical experience tells me that the gestation period for any new version/app by Lit&Lat is something like 5 years, I think/ hope that we’re still on track!

There is/will be a backup/restore function in the new app for changing the font for various publishers. It was published new in Roman Times.

Okay, fair enough.

Last year, Keith gave an update that said hopefully next (this) year. It’s a ways up in this thread so I linked it for ya. Obviously, the release isn’t too imminent or you’d be hearing about it now.

So we’re heading to the end of May 2025 before we know it June will come and go along with half the year. Is waiting for this mythical new app a lost cause? Except for those in the rather exclusive beta group who don’t have to cool their heals at all since they’ve had the use of it for ages. If the rest of us form a lynch mob will it help? I mean if you point us in the right direction I’m sure we can all go after them, it…

There’s another thread where I asked about it. The Mac/iOS versions are very solid, and the question I asked was if any thought to releasing them and letting the Win version appear whenever it does, but L&L are firm on waiting to release them together, however long that will be. The Win version isn’t in beta yet.

If you know the fable of the goose that laid the golden egg, then be advised that is not a good idea.

Sigh.

I remember being so happy way back when I discovered Scrivener and OMG, unlike most programs, it was MAC! Rather than yes there’s lots of apps but you need to go back to windows if you want to use them.

Seems like we’ve gone backwards. Yes there is a program but nobody is allowed to have it because of the windows users.

I understand their not wanting to release without a Win version after the endless delays on the Win Scrivener, and the howls of rage from some in that community (demanding sackings, forecasting doom etc).

But, like others I do feel some frustration that there is an amazing app that is being held from release for that reason, but it’s Keith’s company and his rules. It will be worth the wait.

This is the type of transparency Lit&Lat asked those in the Beta program not to disclose.
You worked for a large corporation in your time. Discretion should be second nature to you.

It’s been stated on here by L&L staff.
