I would never have heard of it if it hadn’t been for this board, but due to the praise I read here, I recently bought an inexpensive Alphasmart 3000 on ebay. It’s great! Thank you to everyone who recommended it.
I am curious: Is there any advantage to the Neo over the 3000?
As the Alphasmart is perfect, there can by definition be no advantage over it…

Post or search here, where you’ll almost certainly find plenty of people who’ve tried both.
For myself, I have a Neo, haven’t tried the 3000 but presume the Neo to be “better” on the basis that it is the more recent model. I suspect, however, that the differences in practice are slight for writers - perhaps greater for classroom use, which as you’re probably aware is the products’ original intended purpose.
