I just got my new iPad2, and I’m following up on a question I’d asked a couple of years ago. I’d really like to be able to sync information between it and the Mac, but I can’t use any sort of cloud solution - my company prohibits the use of third-party cloud services (and I don’t use them for personal work for exactly the same security and privacy issues). Are there any alternatives to Dropbox or Simplenote (i.e. wi-fi or iTunes cable sync) that don’t involve cutting and pasting?
Maybe. GoodReader and DevonThink To Go use, respectively, cable and wifi sync. I don’t know of a Simplenote equivalent that does, but it’s certainly technically feasible.
