Non-modal Layouts dialog

A very small request. I use the keyboard as much as possible. I’d prefer not to have to dismiss the layouts window after I’ve selected a layout [CMD+SHIFT+)]. I know I can do that with CMD+W, but I’m not sure why the layouts window re-presents itself at all after my chosen layout is implemented.

Thank you,

It’s a utility panel, which means it always stays on top, just like the fonts panel and such. It’s the standard sort of panel to use for this sort of feature on OS X. You can always use the layouts toolbar icon or menu instead - the layouts panel is more for managing layouts than for loading them.
