Not responding on startup

Yes, I read the FAQ that said it might be quicktime thats the problem. I have updated quick time but I still can not get Scivener to respond on start up. The title bar says “new project (not responding)” and then just hangs. Im running the latest version right now because I want to try it before I buy it. Any suggestions?

What else have you tried?

Have you set the compatibility options for Scrivener.exe to be Windows 7?
Have you disabled any real-time scanning for your anti-virus/anti-malware programs?
Have you rebooted Windows in Safe Mode and started Scrivener there to see if a third-party app is causing a problem?
Are you opening Scrivener up without a project, or are you trying to open up a project file?
