notes, references and key words icons

a hopefully, VERY simple wish:

currently, when you populate a note or reference or a key word, the icons remain a very dark grey, whether it is populated or not. there is no way to tell if there is content in any of them.

it would be AMAZING if each icon could change color when populated, for example:
notes notepad- turns blue
reference ribbon- turns red
keyword key- turns gold

would be a great way to visually know if data is there or not, otherwise with very large projects you’ll never know.

would love to hear any feedback.

Hi,

In 2.0 an asterisk will appear next to the icons that indicate an area of meta-data that has content (I tried colour but it looked a little garish).

Another problem with colour, in my experience, is that when you place a series of icons together and have some of them coloured and the rest monochrome or grey, then it tends to communicate that the monochrome ones are for some reason disabled. It could lead to confusion and added support issues.
