Now that NaNoWriMo is over...

… so one of the things about the beta program was that people who used Scrivener to create their NaNoWriMo novels and won would qualify for a 50% discount when Scrivener was released.

November is gone, and Scrivener probably won’t be ready till after the new year… so how do we prove we win when the time comes? Is there something on the site we should save? Should we show/email a copy of the certificate, when the time comes?

Just wondering how that will work.

The official NaNoWriMo team will be sending you your winner’s package via your registered e-mail address. This will include any bonus gifts like the Scrivener coupon. I believe they’ll be sending this out on the 2nd, but I heard that second-hand. Just save that e-mail in a safe place for when you can use it.

If I recall correctly, the code from last year was good for 6 months after nano, and that was for a version was out. So I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

If you go to the Winners’ Prizes page, it will give you your Scrivener discount code; mine says the code is good until 31 May 2011.

(There’s also a code for a free paperback proof copy from CreateSpace; code expires 30 June 2011.)
