I just can’t seem to figure this out.
I am trying to adjust the replacement !fig($@) so I can get chapter 1 figures to be numbered 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and then Chapter 2 figures 2.1, 2.2 and so on.
My most recent replacement was <$n:figure:$@><$sn> but that didn’t do it either.
Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!
Try here - it seems to be the same issue:

I have: Figure <$parentposition>.<$n:figure>: The Spiral of Evolutionary Time
…typed in the text (not in the Compile options). $parentposition picks up the ordinal position in the binder. As long as the first chapter is the first Binder folder, the second Chapter the second, etc. It seems to work.
