One page is not numbered

I am in the last stages of proofing the final version of my book, both on epub and in pdf in the paperback format, and I am about to send the revised version for publication.

But I just noticed something quite strange on the pdf version: one of the last pages (Acknowledgements), which is a separate file in the draft folder, is not numbered, as opposed to the previous and subsequent pages. I checked the settings of the file, compared to the adjacent ones and, as far as I can tell, they are the same. Yet, there is no page number on that one.

Then I tried to duplicate the previous file : It was also numbered after compile. But when I copied-pasted the content of the Acknowledgements page on this file and launched an new compile, the page number had also disapeared.

I am at a loss as to why it is the case. Not that it matters a lot, but, for one, it would be nice if all the pages were actually properly numbered, and second, for the sake of my mental health, I would be grateful if someone could provide me with a rational explanation and, while we are at it, a solution as well!

Edit the Compile format, and look at the Page Settings tab. The explanation can probably be found there.

The most likely issue is that you’ve specified no header or footer on single pages.
