It would be fairly normal - and useful - for Scrivener to open the compiled document immediatly after the compilation, or at least have a button to do this.
We might add something like this in the future, as an option of course. 8)
That is some very freaky timing for that request given the feature I was working on just yesterday. 
This feature was what I came in here to request. Any chances of is happening any time soon?
Given the date of Keith’s comment, from when he was working on Mac Scrivener v.3 before he took over the work on Scrivener for iOS if my memory serves, then one might have grounds for thinking it will come with v. 3.
When will v. 3 be here, this year we understand, first half hopefully …
