Option to cancel potentially time consuming operations

Hi, Scrivener team,

Since Scrivenings mode is persistent when you navigate the binder folder by folder, I’ve noticed that when reaching the “Draft” section as a whole Scrivener begins to set up composite editing window as well.

When the project becomes large and the Draft folder is huge, this may take a lot of time and AFAIK is an operation that cannot be cancelled. In Windows, this usually leads to an “application Not responding” message.

So if you forget to change to Corkboard mode or disabling Composite mode before selecting the draft Folder the system hangs for a while.

Is it possible that you consider a live cancel operation button for when this happens?

Best regards,

Yes, this is already on our list.
