Options for collaboration (sending files for editing) in Scrivener 2

I know this is probably a hackneyed topic, but I’m looking to share my sections of copy currently in Scrivener with an editor.

What are some of the better options currently being used?

If I export to word or Google doc, will it include the meta data and/or footnotes?

If you compile to Word format, certainly your footnotes will be included.

As for meta-data: I am not sure what sort of metadata you were hoping might transfer over to another format, but the basic answer is ‘No’.
