It would be great to be able to sort files by meta-data column in outline mode then save the results to a collection or folder.
Sorting columns in the Outliner is already a planned feature, and dragging from a sorted view will preserve that temporary order (thus you could also drag the list back into the folder it came from in the Binder to permanently apply that sort).
