Outliner/Corkboard: Open document in other pane

When using the outliner/corkboard in one pane, is there a way to make it open any double-clicked documents in the other pane?

Thank you

Will this help?

You can also access that menu selection directly from the GUI, via this button with the arrow (in blue) at the footer bar, underneath the Outliner/Corkboard:

Click on it once and the Outliner/Corkboard will control the contents of the other editor.

Click on it twice and the Outliner/Corkboard will control the contents of the Copyholder (this only works if you’ve got a Copyholder active underneath the Outliner/Corkboard). This second method gives you the capability of displaying simultaneously what are essentially multiple binders. I find if very helpful for comparing things.

More clearly explained in the Interactive Tutorial (Help > Interactive Tutorial). See Going Further > Organizational tools > Corkboard and Outliner Tricks > Control the other editor.

Best,
Jim
