Override page break in a section

Hi.

I have a block of text that I don’t want to be split on any reading device, as it ruins the flow.

Is there some magical way that I can override the page break in this section?

I tried using Shift+Enter to keep it within a single paragraph, but that didn’t seem to do the trick.

All help appreciated.

If you want to keep something like a poem all on one page, the only way I know of that can possibly work is to put a page break before it, thus putting the start of that passage at the top of the next page. That could look awkward, as the preceeding text will likely end in the middle of it’s page, thus leaving a lot of white space that will probably throw the reader off. The only other way I know of is to include the passage as an image instead of text, but I think that’s a bad idea.

This is a limitation imposed by e-readers, not by the file itself, which must allow for the reader’s preferences for font size (a boon to people with bad eyesight).

Ah, that is a way to do it.

Thanks for the quick feedback.

  • If anyone can think of a way to do it without a page-break, I’d be interested in hearing about this also.
