Padding - compiling to ePub

Hi,

Is there a way of adding padding to individual pages within a manuscript?

I have no padding in my manuscript at present, which is fine for the majority of my pages, but the text in my half-title and copyright pages is sitting at the top of the screen and I’d like to find a way of padding it to bring it down, closer to the middle.

Thanks

Hi,

You can use the “Page padding” setting in the “Formatting” pane of compile to add padding to the top of pages that follow a page break.

All the best,
Keith

I didn’t explain properly…

Each of my chapters is a separate document and each has the ‘page break before’ box ticked under ‘Contents’ because I want each chapter to start on a fresh page. I was looking for a way of singling out pages for individual tweaking. Is there a way to do in Scrivener, or do I have to get into the ePub file and tinker with the HTML?

Ah, okay. The only way to tweak them individually would be by either hierarchical placement or type. So, a level 2 document can have different padding to a level 1 document, and a folder can have different padding to a text document. Beyond that, you would need to tweak it externally.

All the best,
Keith

Thanks Keith,

I converted my problem pages to folders and applied the padding as you suggested. Worked perfectly.
