Hi all,
Is it possible for Scrivener to reduce page count in a manuscript even if more words (3000+) have been added. When my manuscript was around 53K, Scrivener generated nearly 300 pages. When I added another 3K (56K total), the count dropped to around 260 pages.
What would cause this? Any suggestions? Is this supposed to happen?
Truly,
Chris
Hi Crellim
Page count is set at 250 words per page. (Or 350 is the default I don’t remember, but that ain’t the point anyways.)
That can be changed in project statistics, and you probably inadvertently did at some point.
Project / Statistics / Options
This being said, since the page count is only the result of a division (total words in the draft, divided by whatever you have set in this option), the page count you get is only an estimate.
As you can see, it doesn’t take any formatting into account, nor even the page size.
The other explanation would be that you excluded some documents from compile. (Depending on where you get your page count from.)
