Page numbering at top of each page?

I’m completing my first book and have been told to enter the page number in the upper right corner of each page, and the author name in the upper left corner, along with the title of the book. Can someone tell me how this can be done? I’ve read the user’s manual, but am afraid that I don’t know the correct words to use to ask the correct question, thus this message.
I appreciate any help one of you might be able to offer.
Best,
Roy

This is referred to as the “header” in print jargon. Putting information like this along the bottom is a “footer”. In Scrivener these are applied to the document as you compile. If you click on the Page Settings compile option pane, you’ll see in the middle a “Header and Footer” section, broken into six parts. That’s just your top and bottom, left centre and right positions. So in your case you would want your name in the top left field, and the <$p> code for page numbers in the top right.

Thank you so much for your help.
Best,
Roy
