I was copying in a good bit of text today from various sources and having to manually format it all was driving me crazy. Please consider implementing a paintbrush tool so that I can highlight text in the document that is already formatted like I want it, double-click the paintbrush, and then highlight a sentence here, a word there, and a paragraph or two. With paintbrush, twenty seconds; without paintbrush, a minute and twenty seconds.
Great program, I’m ready to buy.
And more cowbell please!
I haven’t got access to my Windows machine at the moment, so I can’t check what’s there so far. However, the Mac version does have copy format and paste format options (and shortcuts) in the Format section of the header, so this should be coming…
Jaype is correct but the options are actually in the right-click menu on the Windows version.
You can highlight the text you’ve already formatted, right click on it and choose “Copy Style”, then highlight the unformatted text, right click and choose “Paste Style” to format it. Maybe not quite as fast as a format painter but still pretty quick.
I tried it with coloured and emboldened text and it worked great; I’m not sure about the other formatting options.
