hi loving using scrivener but I have one problem. I paste in from all sorts of places and I’d like to do it without any formatting being carried over. Is that possible - the paste and match formatting doesn’t seem to make any difference. Also, is there an option to select text on a page and strip all the formatting off and return it to defaults? I’d like to clean it up as I go!
Edit > Paste and Match Style should do what you want, so I’m not sure why it’s not working for you. Bear in mind that the pasted text will take on the format of the text at the place it is inserted though.
To tidy up text to use the formatting set in the preferences, use Documents > Convert > To Default Style.
