Pasting Problem

Hi,
I somewhat recently migrated from windows 10 to linux (mint on my laptop, bazzite on my desktop). It’s mostly been fine and I can’t tell the difference.
However I’ve started to take part in “NaNoWriMo” once again this and I do most of my sprints in 4thewords then copy them. However recently I’ve been unable to copy and paste anything into scrivener. At least on Bazzite. It works perfectly well on Mint.
I have tried changing the runner, uninstalling and reinstalling. It still won’t paste.
I’ve checked my operating system but I can paste perfectly fine in other software (obsidian, internet browser and kwrite) and like I said it works fine on mint. They are connected through syncthing but that shouldn’t make a difference.
It was working previously so I’m not sure what’s happened.
Has anyone else had this issue? Or have any advice?
Am I going to have to switch my OS?

Wine comes with a basic text editor that you can use to test basic interactions, like copy and paste. Look for ‘notepad.exe’ in the drive_c/windows/syswow64 subfolder, of your wine prefix.

This has always worked fine for me (on Debian, so further up the line from Mint; not sure what Bazzite is based on).

Okay, I just tested the notepad.exe and I can’t copy and paste into that either. So I copied over the exe version from my laptop but that didn’t change anything.

Bazzite is based on fedora, not on debian. But it did work previously so I’m not sure what’s happening.

Yeah I would imagine it has more to do with the configuration/context of the system than the .exe itself. That is probably identical between systems unless you have different versions of Wine installed.

Whatever the case, as it is a broad problem, you may find more help on Wine or Bazzite discussion areas.
