Is there a way to control the PDF output generation so as to have the section text below the level of chapter appear in two columns ?. There is a simple way to do this by modifying the PDB header to include //twocolumn
Scrivener doesn’t do multiple columns. You’d need to compile to an editable format and set columns in a formatting program or by hand in Word.
That’s a good point of clarification—you can do columns when compiling to RTF and DOC and DOCX, but not for PDF, which was the question here.
So, to make a 2-column PDF from Scrivener:
- Compile to RTF (or Word DOC/DOCX)
- Use the appropriate tool to open that file and “print” to PDF (a feature of macOS).
Job done.
