Persistent download error

On Nov. 19, 2016 I tried to download version 2.8.1.2 of Scrivener for Mac, to update my v. 2.8. I got a message saying “An error occurred while downloading the update. Please try again later.” (See attached screenshot.)

Today I tried again. Still the same error message. What can I do ?

Try downloading direct from our site, rather than via the Update tool:
literatureandlatte.com/download_mac.php
