Photoshop/GIMP layers

Could Scrivener have layers like Photoshop and GIMP have? What I mean by that is:
You write your first draft in the first layer;
You create a new layer;
You edit the novel inside that new layer.

At any time, you can turn off the layer and see what the novel looked like before. It’s essentially an easier way to track changes.

In GIMP it works well, because you’re never changing the original layer. You’re just overlaying something over it. It could be the same in Scrivener.

Look at the Snapshots feature.

Oh, that’s pretty close. Thanks, Robert!
