Pictures & Kindle

Hi,

Forgive me if this has already been asked somewhere. I did hunt for it, but only though a few pages…

I am hoping to self-publish some training manuals direct to Kindle and have a couple of questions for anyone who has done this.

  1. How do you insert pictures? Do you just place them in the text where you want them or do you need to do it a certain way to ensure they end up in the right place?

  2. Once you have compiled your work in the format suitable for Kindle using Scrivener, can you edit it if necessary before actually releasing it on Kindle? I’m pretty sure Kindle has a way you can edit before going live, but I’m wondering if Scrivener does as well. Or is it like photoshop where once you’ve compiled the ‘layers’ you can’t go back?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
Christy

Also, can you put links in yout table of contents?

Thanks again,
Christy
