I want to open, edit, then close any document in which I happen to take an interest while trawling through doc titles in outline mode–without closing the outline pane. I suppose this would effectively require the spawning of another window. We’d also want to see/add footnotes to the doc in the newly spawned window, of course. Thx! k
If I’ve understood your requirements correctly, then the Mac version has a feature (Quick Reference panels) which allows you to do this (and a bit more).
As the idea is that the Windows version will ultimately have the same features as the Mac program, I imagine it will be coming to Windows at some point.
In the meantime, would you be able to use split screen and ‘Open in other editor’?
I will try split screen. Thx for the suggestion! k
